The 2008 All Africa Poker Tournament will be held from the 29^th to the 31^st of May 2008 at Piggs Peak Hotel and Casino, Swaziland.

The tournament will be a rebuy tournament which will feature a prize pool of R3 500 000! The Main Event winner will receive a prize of R1 Million as well a World Series of Poker package. The 8 runners up will also receive a World Series of Poker package. The WSOP package alone is valued at R150 000 each!

The tournament will have a R23 000 buy-in value (R3 000 for accommodation, food and beverages and R20 000 going towards the prize pool), this includes one Main Event Tournament seat with a starting chip stack of 5 000, three nights accommodation at Orion Piggs Peak Hotel and Casino for the player and his/her partner as well as all meals and drinks in the poker room.

The tournament will feature unlimited rebuys and one addon. Rebuys are charged at R5 000 for 5 000 chips and the addon R7 500 for 12 500 chips.

Only 120 seats are available for the tournament!

Players sharing a room at the Orion Piggs Peak Hotel and Casino with another player, will receive a R2 500 rebate.

The Main Event Tournament

The Main Event Tournament starts at 20:00 (8 pm) on Thursday, the 29th of May 2008.

Sit 'n Go's will start as soon as enough players have been eliminated from the Main Evenet. All in all there will be ten Sit 'n Go's and the R225 000 Gauranteed Shootout Tournament will start as soon as all the Sit 'n Go's have been completed. The Prize Pool will be finalised once the Sit 'n Go's have been completed. Throughout the tournament there will also be cash games.
